Who am i and why am i here?My name is Libby Casey and I am a junior at Auburn University. I am currently majoring in Global Studies and minoring in Philanthropy and Non-profit. I have chosen this particular path because I am passionate about people and creating a better world. It is my hope to work with organizations that work to improve individual peoples lives and enhance the communities that they live in. |
Values, VISION, issues, impactMy values have adapted and changed overtime but are largely due to the way I was raised, my past experiences, and my relationship with Jesus Christ. I value faith, equality, respect, freedom and community. I believe that all human beings are valuable and should be able to live happy and healthy lives. These values drive my passion for the issues of hunger, health care, and freedom from bondage weather that be physical, mental or spiritual. My hope is to make an impact on individuals and communities by showing them love, respect and spending my time available to help others who are not able to help themselves.

Time, Talent, treasure, trustThroughout my life time, I want to give my time, talent, treasure, and trust to organizations and causes that align with my values and passions. My passions and values cover a wide variety of causes and missions and because of this I hope to give my time, talent, treasure, and trust wherever I feel is most pressing at the time. However, I do have specific causes that have been laid on my heart to give to in my life. My hope is to give my time serving my local community and the international community through missions and to become a foster parent. I will give my talent by using my strengths and influence to raise awareness and support for organizations that I believe in. I will give my treasure and trust to organizations that I believe work to improve individuals lives and better our worlds future.

PHILANTHROPIC MISSION STATEMENTMy mission is to create a better world by focusing on one individual at a time. My hope is to see a world where all people have access to proper nutrition, health care, and know the love and freedom of Jesus Christ. I want to live a life that is focused on improving others lives and helping them create and live healthy and happy lifestyles. |
Why being finacially and philanthropically responsible is importantIt is vital to be finically and philanthropically responsible so that you can live a life focused on others. Financial responsibility is important because without it, you can not be philanthropically responsible. Financial responsibility allows you to do so much more with your money than if you were not responsible. Saving your money and stewarding it wisely will allow you to donate to philanthropic causes that you are passionate about and make an impact on them. Philanthropic responsibility is key because you want to make sure you are giving your time, talent, treasure, and trust to causes and organizations that are truly making a difference in your community and the world around you.

Philanthropic legacyMy desire for my philanthropic legacy is that when people remember me, they remember a girl who gave everything she had to help improve others lives. I hope that people think of me not as someone who is perfect in everything I do but as someone who tries my best and seeks to understand, love, and help others. I want to live a life that makes God and my family proud. I hope that I inspire others to work towards improving individuals lives and helping better our world and future generations. |
